Day 353: New Years Day

A very important holiday in the Japanese calendar, which we celebrated with Junko's Dad, who was very impressed with my pronounciation of the 6 Japanese words I knew!

A gorgeous spread, including Zoni (a soup which includes toasted Mochi):

(I was so tired, at one point, I tried to toast with my soy sauce bowl instead of my Sake. Incredibly embarrassing!)
