We made sure to pack our English beach 'essentials'
including our wind breaks & knotted hankies ...

The sea looks so moody ... its easy to forget the power the sea has - one cubic metre of water is a ton.
The legendary pier itself;
We went for a wander up the pier & found a funfair - it had the most fantastic terrifying rides. Oh, and the ghost train which was cool.
The awesome Waltzers, a childhood ride for Hubby;
The Rollercoaster;
The upside down hubby;
This quite aptly was called the Crazy Mouse. It was like being on a human sized MouseTrap board, 200 feet about the ocean, at the end of a pier built in the 18000s. It was actually frightening - and I had the worse seat and was being flung out towards the sea (whilst restained with a lap belt & bar).
The view from our seat on the Crazy Mouse:
Looking back on Brighton;
At this point we wanted to get our feet on solid ground and, well, just stop spinning. So after another, better go on the Waltzers (why!?) we set off to have a look around the city & a fish supper to rival hubby's home.
On our wander around Brighton:
Say, what?
All in all, a fantastic place - I reckon we'll be back.
