Day 194: York (part i)

York is beautiful, just beautiful.

Our Hotel:

The view from our hotel - Cliffords Tower (a Mott & Bailey)

We began with a horse-drawn carriage ride around Yorkshire Cathedral

 An unusual way to be stuck at red traffic lights!

We began with a walk around the town walls - the only full set of town walls in England I'm reliably told :)

After a bit of dinner and a wee pint we thought we'd have a look at York Cathedral in the evening;
(POTD)

The Lantern Church tower, used to guide people through the moors into the centre of York:

Back to the hotel, then up the next mornng for a hop on hop off bus tour;

Passing the smallest house in York; (it's To Let!)

Past keeps like this one,
