Day 27: Rouen

We arrived in Paris very late last night, to our apartment where we went for a quick walk, quickly realising everything is shut on a Monday night at 1am.
Our apartment is 2 and a bit blocks from the Arc de Triumphe!

Our first day in Paris, we thought we'd be different and catch a train and hour or so out, to the beautiful town of Rouen.

No sticky tarmac for these frenchy fullas:

Beautiful Rouen Church:

Bit of a random 'Emma' photo:

This is the tower in which they kept Joan of Arc the second time she was persecuted for heresy (this time for wearing men's trousers) and incarcerated her, before they burnt her.

Where Joan of Arc was burnt, they've erected a church and monument to her. It's amazing - *architecture geek drool* Look at the interior roof trusses!
